Hi fellers. Happy new year (+2 days)!

It’s a new year and I’ve got reasonably sized ambitions! Been putting on some tunes and working through the depressing grey weather. This year I really wanna get the games pumping out of me like gasoline or something. But before I get into that! Why am I… on this strange website?

I’m known as sücco by some. I do a drawing, and a programming, and a aspire for great things. I’ve been working on video games in my free time for a while, and I wanna make lots of ’em this year. My “hit” game Bug Toucher is one of my proudest achievements. I started a blog in July and posted sometimes, but I decided to move that kinda stuff to cohost (Check out the blogposts though, they are kinda cool).

I liked the blog, but there were two big problems.
One, the post editor sucks on blogger. Google clearly doesn’t give a shit about upkeep on there (understandably I guess), and formatting and images were consistently giving me trouble.
Two, I felt like all my posts had to be very ambitious. Making big long posts is awesome but I was getting overwhelmed / forgetting about it in lieu of other responsibilities. The format of cohost is more like something like Twitter, but still blog nonetheless. So I won’t feel so bad posting tiny stupid things in between the big ones (is what I’m telling myself).

I dabbled in neocities for a bit, which is really cool, but coding a website in html sparks no joy in my heart, so at least for now I’m not having it.

So anyways! I’ll post doodlies and songlies and whatever. But what about the games!?

I’ve been fiddling with PICO-8 (low spec game engine) and I like it a lot! In about a week I whipped up a “port” of my old game Stimbu.

I think with a couple more whistles and tweaks, I can make it super cool. But I’m setting it aside for a little while to work on an idea I had about a month ago. I think the idea is perfect for the simplicity of PICO-8, so I’m gonna try to crank it out in two weeks! Here’s the idea:
