I’ve actually been doing a lot of Japanese every day.

I’ve been actively going through Tae Kim’s guidetojapanese.org and enjoying the teaching structure much better than the textbook I was using. Making me handwrite kanji right from the start 🙂

I also just started playing my Japanese copy of Pokemon Silver which is very chill. But sometimes stressful when there’s a big chunk of story text to work through. I’m mostly reinforcing grammar stuff and looking up basically every word because my vocabulary is still small.

I actually spent almost 2 hours running around in an early area looking for a 5% Jigglypuff. Turns out Jigglypuff was added to that area in the English version, and I only found this out by looking through the Japanese wiki!

I’ve been translating songs pretty often too. For a while I’ve just been doing them when I feel like and not uploading. Partially because I get stuck on certain parts when I’m not confident in my understanding. But even if I understand something, it can be really hard to word it into English!

But it’s a hobby I really enjoy, especially because there aren’t many good translations for English speaking fans.
