I couldn’t find the right mood for introspective post-writing this summer. But now it’s getting cold and lonely so the urge has returned.

I’ve been a busy boy wouldn’t you know it! Here’s a couple things that I’ve worked on these past few months that I probably won’t feel the need to write a whole post about!

Milk & Punishment Official Comic

A particularly blue comic that I drew.

Right before I left for school in August, me and my buddy Stuffling expanded our YouTube channel Milk & Punishment into the comic business!

We were posting every day for a while, took a break, and now we’ve been posting every day for October again. It’s fun to draw funny comics and put them into the computer :>

Mario’s Hubris

I made an animation for the first time in five years! OW! OUCH!

Someone was hosting a Super Mario collab on Newgrounds and I decided it was as good an excuse as any to make a cartoon 😀

I originally boarded out something with a little Milk & Punishment twist because we had just started the comic:

There’s some strange in-joke nonsense going on here

But I got to college and I didn’t feel like recording the voice lines, so I didn’t get past the first shot

But about a week before the original deadline, my buddy Aeroburger drew this little Mario comic out of nowhere and I loved it so much that I decided to make an animation of it (a lot simpler than the other idea too).

AND THEN I happened to be perusing the Newgrounds portal with Abby and found this intriguing little cartoon and really liked it. Turns out this “MaeTheGrownup” does voiceover work too and so she pulled out a pretty convincing Princess Peach for me. With a Mario Sunshine kinda flavor y’know? It’s awesome finding new friends in strange places!

So yeah, it was a lot of work, but it was really fun to animate again and I’m very proud of it. Everyone keeps telling me how cute Peach is!

My only qualm is that I did the sound design in a hurry the night-of and it’s a little annoying in retrospect. There’s always next time 🙂

BLOODLUSTERS!

I worked on another game with crow-seeds and co!

I helped design this game and drew the background art and stuff! We’re gonna make an updated version for Newgrounds, so development isn’t totally over, but we made this version for a jam and got it done yesterday!

Was pretty stressful working on it between other life stuff, but we pulled through and it came out awesome (mostly thanks to crow-seeds awesome programming skillz).

I’ll be sure to write more about it when it’s all done. But play the jam version now and leave us feedback please! XOXO

Life has had its ups and downs recently.

School work hasn’t been too bad besides some SCRUMing. Got some midterm exams coming up this week, followed by the career fair! So a little bit of stress there.

My car has been quickly dying too, and I’m not looking forward to the bill. But I’ve had time to create stuff and play so I can’t complain too much.

Pokémon has been soothing my soul recently. I’m in between a bunch of playthroughs right now, but the past few days I’ve been playing the new Z-A and enjoying it!

I’m really trying to keep off socials because people’s new fixation is trying to tear down Pokémon and arguing with anyone enjoying the game… yeesh. Look at my spider:

He’s so freaking talented

So yeah look out for more posts! Soon probably! Maybe! Might go buy cigarettes again!
