Hi everyone I hope you’ve all been doing well.
To start off I probably should’ve posted a month ago when Jeri II got released! Oops!

Play it here on Newgrounds! (cool art by Stuffling)
I’m proud of how it came out despite it’s many flaws and unappealing parts. I’ll definitely be doing a post-mortem sometime when I’m ready to go back to it.
I sold off some gaming junk to afford a Switch 2 on launch day. I camped out at BestBuy and it was really fun! We were there 5 hours early which ended up being a bit unnecessary but it was a nice day.

That being said, I’ve been gaming a lot more this month than making games. I’ve played Deltarune, Link’s Awakening, a good bit of Mario Kart World, and I’m finishing up a runthrough of Super Mario Odyssey. But I’m getting in the mood to make stuff again after all this lollygagging.
I’ve been catching up with Godot again after so long. Whether it’s PICO-8, Game Maker, or a few other options I’ve tried, it takes a lot of programming and planning to do what I want to do. And while that’s fun and satisfying in its own way, I’d like to spend some more time on making fun games and stretching my legs. Godot has so many wonderful features and I’ve made some cool stuff with it before.
The big thing keeping me from using Godot was that Godot games weren’t playable in the browser on Apple devices. Like it would just crash Safari. I think the bug was on Apple’s end too which is just so annoying. But now it’s kinda fixed with a compromise I think, so whatever games I make should be playable by everyone!
Just been following a tutorial bit by bit and getting acquainted with things again. This series by whiteyoshiegg has been really inspiring to me:
Lots of technical nerd crap and attention to detail. And it shows that the tools Godot gives you can be used in many ways. You don’t have to be a normal person and use a collision box, you can do it 1990-style and detect collision with a bunch of points!
That’s about it from me today. I did also want to point out my new ACCOUNTS on WEBSITES! I’ve wanted to catalog my gaming, movieing, musicing a little better, so check these out if you’re interested. I’ll leave some thought filled reviews sometimes too (though I’ll leave the lengthy diatribes for here!)
My backloggd! (ripoff of letterboxd for games)
I still haven’t finished going through and logging every game, movie, album I’ve every consumed, nor have I filled my backlogs properly. It will be a work in progress whenever I’m bored.
Thanks for reading up! I will…
🐒See you next post!🐒
